Iranian air carrier Qeshm Air launches regular flights along the Tehran-
Tashkent-
Almaty route.
the first flight of the Iranian airline Qeshm Air landed at the Tashkent international airport named after Islam Karimov on December 22, 2022. The Airbus A300-600 flying Tehran-Tashkent-Alma-Ata-Tehran, was welcomed at the Tashkent airport.
Qeshm Air plans to operate regular flights once a week, on Thursdays.
The opening of flights between Iran and Uzbekistan became possible due to negotiations between the leadership of Uzbekistan and Iran held as part of the official visit to Uzbekistan by the Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi in September 2022. During the negotiations, it was decided to adopt a program of cooperation in the field of tourism, with a number of measures aiming at simplifying visa procedures and expanding tourism between Iran and Uzbekistan.
Qeshm Air is an Iranian airline founded in 1993 and headquartered in Tehran. The company operates regular domestic and international passenger flights, as well as charter flights.
