Khan Shatyr (The King Tent), Astana, Kazakhstan

Shopping and entertainment complex in the center of Astana is located in the new part of the city on the left bank of the Ishim River, which wtinesses a large-scale construction of modern infrastructure, residential complexes, business centers and office buildings. The Khan-Shatyr shopping and entertainment center was opened in 2010 by N. Nazarbayev, the first president of Kazakhstan.

The inclined spire of the tent is visible from almost every point of the city, and it definitely catches your eye. The building in the form of a transparent shiny tent (the largest tent in the world) surprises with its unusual architecture. Inside the complex, in addition to the shops, restaurants and cafes that would be usual for any shopping center, there is a family park with dinosaurs, as well as a unique aquatic park where you can swim in the pool with genuine ocean waves and sunbathe on the beach with sea sand.
