This was announced at the ASIA CONNECT: Airline Network Development conference by the first deputy general director of the company, Salokhiddin Nasirov, and the head of the flight service department, Svetlana Isyanova. Its trademark is owned by the Sam Air company, founded by entrepreneur Bakhtiyor Fazylov. The new airline intends to operate flights on 14 routes to Russia and Asian countries.

Air Samarkand plans to open flights to 14 destinations: Abu Dhabi, Antalya, Delhi, Jeddah, Doha, Dubai, Yekaterinburg, Kazan, Moscow, Samara, St. Petersburg, Sochi, Istanbul, and Tel Aviv. Airfares will be announced later. Nevertheless, "Air Samarkand" does not plan to be a low-cost carrier. According to the company's management, the new air carrier will adhere to the principles of reasonable, fair and competitive pricing. Fares may include meals and entertainment on board.

The new airline will be based at the Samarkand International Airport. At the initial stage, flights are to be carried out using two medium-range Airbus A320 aircraft. The new air carrier plans to connect major world transport hubs and engage in transit transportation.

The first two aircraft to be purchased will be full economy configurations with 180 economy class (Y) seats in the cabin. In the near future, the company will receive several new Airbus A320 aircraft, which will be equipped with a business class, as well as one Airbus A330, which will expand the route network and improve the quality of passenger service.

According to the management of the new carrier, the potential number of passengers from Samarkand and neighboring regions, including cities such as Navoi and Bukhara, may reach 4.5 million people.
