Most Popular CIS Cities in the summer of 2017

An Analytical Agency Turstat (turstat.com) compiled a rating of the most popular CIS cities for traveling in the summer of 2017. The ranking of the CIS cities is headed by the capitals of Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Armenia and Uzbekistan. The top 10 most popular CIS cities for Russian tourists in the summer of 2017 are Astana, Baku, Minsk, Yerevan, Tashkent, Almaty, Chisinau, Bishkek, Kiev and Ashgabat. As you can see, out of the 10 cities taking part in the competition, 5 belong to the region of Central Asia. The rating is based on the analysis of tour offers and online hotel reservation systems. In Astana the global EXPO 2017 exhibition is taking place from June 10 to September 10, 2017. Baku will host the Grand Prix of Azerbaijan "Formula 1" from June 23 to June 25, 2017 and music festival "Heat" from July 27 to July 30, 2017. In Baku, most travelers arrive to have rest on the coast of the Caspian Sea. In Minsk, the MOST (BRIDGE) music festival will take place on July 2, 2017 and art picnic of Freaky Summer Party will be hosted from July 29 to July 30, 2017. Bishkek in a destination for tourists who are booking tours on the Issyk-Kul lake resorts. According to Turstat, tourists come to Astana to spend on the average 3.5 days and spend US$ 80 per day for staying at local hotels. In Minsk, tourists come on the average to spend 2.5 days in summer and pay US$ 60 per night for the accommodation; Baku is visited for 5 days (US$ 75 per day), Yerevan - for 3.5 days (US$ 65 per day), Tashkent for 2.5 days (US$ 45 per day), Almaty - for 3 days (US$ 70 per day), Chisinau - for 1 day (US$ 35 per day), Bishkek - for 1 day (US$ 32 per day), Kiev for 2 days (US$ 50 per day) and Ashgabat - for 2 days (US$ 30 per day). Out of CIS capitals, the cheapest for tourists are Ashgabat and Bishkek, and the most expensive ones are Astana and Baku. The most popular cities of the CIS among tourists in the summer of 2017: 1.
